Historical solar data charts

The historical charts are based on official data while the chart appearing in the daily Solar Terrestrial Activity Report is based on preliminary data. The daily international sunspot number is the one produced by the World Data Center in Brussels and the source for the monthly sunspot number. Solar flux in all charts is adjusted to 1 AU. Interpolation has been used where possible (sequences of 2 or more missing flux values have not been interpolated) in case of missing solar flux data. All charts from 1954 to 1998 are based on 2 months of data, since then each chart has been based on 3 months of data.
